Description
Join us for a ride on the tram from Plaza Nueva to San Bernardo!
MetroCentro is a tram system serving the centre Seville in Spain. It began operating in October 2007 and is operated by TUSSAM which also operates the city's buses.
Whilst the line currently (2022) has just five stops, it has connections with Renfe Cercanias and Metro line 1 (check out our other video of that!). An extension is underway with the aim to bring the line to Adif's Santa Justa station via Nervion.
Although the system originally had a catenary along the whole line, it was converted so that trams with supercapacitors charge at each stop in the historically-sensitive parts of the centre.
Stops
Plaza Nueva → San Bernardo → Archivo de Indias → Prado De San Sebastian → Puerta de Jerez → Nervion.
