Seville tram line T1: Plaza Nueva - Nervion
Operational
Seville low-floor articulated tram 303, manufacturer Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), type Urbos 2, length 31.00 m, weight 40.0 t, with 52 seats and 127 standing places, in the direction of Plaza Nueva (Seville).
Description
Seville has a small tram company that serves the city centre, called MetroCentro.
At the moment there is only one route (T1) with a length of 2 kilometres and 5 stops (including both end points).
A total fleet of 5 CAF Urbis 300 trams is sufficient to provide a 10-minute frequency.
Usage is high because there are no buses in the old city centre around the cathedral. In the same area there is no overhead line, so the trams have to run on batteries. These batteries can be charged during stops via the pantograph in 20 seconds. The cathedral is served by a section of single track.
Stops
Plaza Nueva → San Bernardo → Archivo de Indias → Prado De San Sebastian → Puerta de Jerez → Nervion.
