"I visited the place and the railway for the first time last weekend. The museum railway was celebrating its 60th anniversary, and three different trains were running for the occasion, all of which were well-attended. Much has been accomplished in recent years, and it is hoped that enough young members will be recruited to continue working on the vehicles and the track! Nevertheless, the visit left me with somewhat mixed feelings. The route itself is actually too long and offers few highlights. This is, however, due to its historical context. But the more significant issue is that the place is practically inaccessible without a vehicle! The number 11 bus only runs on weekdays with infrequent service from Melreux-Hotton station, and taxi rides and accommodations in the area are very expensive. Ultimately, the only options are to walk 11 km from the station or to use your own bicycle. The train fare itself, at €15, is also quite high for what is offered. At least on the anniversary weekend, additional museum buses ran as shuttles from Malroie station. Let's hope the situation improves and that not only drivers have the opportunity to get there!"
