The video shows the entire construction process: from the demolition of the old bridge piers and the construction of new foundations to the installation of bridge towers and the first traffic over the bridge in December 1937.

✔️ Installation of the bridge's main girders, flaps and towers
✔️ Laying of bridge decks and tram rails
✔️ First test of the bridge in the fall of 1937

Knippelsbro connects Slotsholmen and Christianshavn and was designed by architect Kaj Gottlob. The project was carried out by the Copenhagen Port Authority in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen, while the main contractor was Wright, Thomsen & Kier.
