In 1972, Schwerin became the 12th major city of the GDR and is, in terms of area, larger than Karl-Marx-Stadt, Halle, or Erfurt, for example.
With the publication of this cultural-historical image material for Schwerin's 825th anniversary in the form of postcards, we are providing a small insight into our city at the turn of the century. What was often carelessly discarded is now often an important visual and source material for the development of local history.
