Rostock tram (2012)A visit to the tram system of Rostock. Because it is planned to withdraw the T6A2 Tatra trams in 2013 and replace them with Tramlink vehicles I visited the city to film them as long as they are in passenger service.
They can't drive through the tunnel at the main station due to new train protection system so they serve only line 1 which isn't going through the tunnel. If they are in service on other lines then only on shortened route. Two of them (one can seen in the depot, the orange car) were rebuilt as work cars.
One tram and it's trailer was designed as football fan car for Hansa Rostock and is the only Tatra tram with single-arm pantograph, another one got a pseudo-historic livery in beige for an advertisement. The original color of the Tatra trams was beige.
All lines are in service in a frequency of 15 minutes, during the rush hour all 12 minutes, so additional trams come into service, seen here in the depot and later in passenger service.
I added a short S-Bahn scene with double deck cars and class 143 locomotive. I don't wanted to make an extra video for this and it is an interchange station to the tram so I think it fits in the video.By Klingl3r - .
