Historical Tatra Grand Train Magdeburg (2019)The MVB is building a new tram route on Warschauer and Schönebecker Strasse. Since a canal has to be laid, tram traffic will be interrupted. The Südost depot will also be disconnected from the network as a result. To ensure that regular service can start operating safely, the Sudenburg museum depot will once again be the vehicle deployment point (of the Südost depot) for a few weeks. To enable the MVB to park 9 low-floor articulated railcars close to the city center during the nightly service breaks, we have cleared the museum depot and transferred many historic vehicles to the Südost depot. We've been out and about with our cameras at the busiest spots, both in traffic and non-traffic areas, and we have the relevant information. A lot is happening at the LVB these days. Tram Museum Magdeburg (2010)Welcome to the museum weekend at the Sudenburg depot 2010! Colorful Magdeburg tram world. Under this motto, the IGNah e.V. association and the MVB invite you on a trip into Magdeburg tram history on Saturday and Sunday, August 28th and 29th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Experience the freshly restored "theater train" made up of railcar 138 and trailer 300 on exclusive presentation trips. On a route steeped in history between the Sudenburg museum depot and Herrenkrug, the city guide and our conductors will provide helpful information and entertaining anecdotes about the city and the tram. We have a little surprise in store for you in the Herrenkrug. The tour starts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. from the depot courtyard. Tickets costing €5 can be purchased in advance at the souvenir stand and from the conductors on the train immediately before the journey begins. Historic trains take you on line 77 from the museum depot to Elbauenpark, where the OMMMA takes place on Saturday and the OPPA on Sunday. The route goes via Hasselbachplatz with a change at the main station, through the city center, and over the Strombrücke to the final stop at the exhibition center. The trips start every hour at minute 14. At 11:14 a.m., 12:14 p.m., 1:14 p.m., 2:14 p.m., 3:14 p.m., and 4:14 p.m. at the museum depot. You can get a ticket for the one-way trip from the museum depot to the exhibition center (with one change at the main station) from the conductors in the carriages, which costs 1 euro. In the former forge and carriage hall, you can view exhibits on tram technology and historic and special vehicles, and read critical historical data about the tram in Magdeburg on information boards.
