Round trip with railcar 917 - Friends of the Bremen Trams (2022)
8:07
Round trip with railcar 917 - Friends of the Bremen Trams (2022)Take a trip in style on a historic tram to the tram museum in Sebaldsbrück. Line 9 connects the main station and Domsheide with Sebaldsbrück on the days the tram museum is open. The Tw 917 was part of a series of 28 railcars and 28 identical trailers that were the first articulated railcars to be added to the BSAG fleet in 1955. The aim was to create greater capacity in the individual cars and thus save a conductor compared to the previous three-car trains. Since a series of two-axle vehicles was being delivered while the new trains were being developed, it was decided to continue using parts of these cars that were under construction and to develop a two-axle vehicle with a single-axle trailer. While the front parts were manufactured in-house by BSAG, the trailers came from Hansa-Waggonbau GmbH in Bremen. The vehicles quickly earned the nickname "farm wagons" due to their poor running characteristics. For this reason, the company also avoided having to build seven more trains that had actually been planned. Tw 917 was added to the fleet in 1957 and was used on line 4. After this line was shortened in 1967, however, it was almost always used alone, and from 1970 under the new number 846. In that year it was also prepared for conductorless operation. After line 4 was closed in May 1972, the last trips for which the car was still needed were the use of replacement cars. After all cars of this type had been retired at the beginning of 1977, the 846 was given a special task. It became Bremen's first party train. Its success was so great that in 1980 it was decided to use the short-articulated car 442 for this purpose. Tw 846 had finally served its purpose and was parked in Sebaldsbrück as a non-operational museum vehicle. During the asbestos disposal of the Hansa cars in the early 1990s, this vehicle was also freed from its legacy. It was kept in the Sebaldsbrück depot as a reserve for later refurbishment until August 2001 and was then towed to the service workshop in Neustadt. Here, the refurbishment was carried out by BSAG employees and apprentices from various departments, as well as former employees of BSAG and the FdBS. Without numerous donations, the refurbishment of this unique railcar would have been impossible. On December 6, 2002, it made its first official appearance at the opening of the extension of line 4 to Borgfeld. Since then, the car has been available for museum use.By Willy Kaemena - .

Bremen Central + track construction information in the Gleisdreieck Osterstraße (2021)
1:16
Bremen Central + track construction information in the Gleisdreieck Osterstraße (2021)Bremer Straßenbahn AG announces track construction on Osterstraße from March 15 to April 25, 2021. The switches and tracks at the junction from Osterstraße to Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, as well as the Wilhelm-Kaisen Bridge, need replacement. The so-called Gleisdreieck (triangle of tracks), which has been in operation for 20 years and is served by tram lines 4, 6, 8, and N4, has become worn. Approximately 420 meters of track will be replaced. Since most work occurs during tram service, lines four and N4 can run on their usual routes, except on weekends. Lines 6, 8, 24, and N3 will be diverted. Line 6 will return to its regular route starting Monday, April 12, 2021. Work will happen Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and around the clock during the busy weekend. Private traffic will be diverted to the construction site in one lane heading toward the city center. Friedrich-Ebert-Straße will be closed for traffic leaving the city center, but turning onto Osterstraße will be allowed. Detours from March 15 to April 11, 2021 (except on the busy weekend). Line 6 will only operate between the university and the central train station, continuing via Falkenstraße, Daniel-von-Büren-Straße, Radio Bremen, Am Brill, and Obernstraße stops to Domsheide. From Domsheide, it will return to the university. The section between Domsheide and the airport will not be served. Replacement buses on route 6E will run between the airport and the BSAG Center, continuing via Duckwitzstraße to Pappelstraße. Transfer to Route 1, which connects to the central train station. From Pappelstraße, the replacement buses will travel via Delmestraße to Gastfeldstraße and then to the airport. Canceled stops on routes six and 6E include Herdentor, Schüsselkorb, Domsheide, Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke, and Theater am Leibnizplatz in the direction of the airport. Stops canceled in the direction of the university are Gastfeldstraße, Schleiermacherstraße, Theater am Leibnizplatz, and Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke. Detours from March 15 to April 25, 2021. Route 8 will be diverted between the Westerstraße and Domsheide stops in both directions via Am Brill and Obernstraße stops. In the evenings, bus line 8 will run in both directions only between the Kulenkampffallee stops and the central train station. Stops canceled include Am Neuer Markt and Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke. Bus lines 24 and N3 will be diverted in both directions between the Westerstraße stop and the central train station via Am Brill and Am Wall stops. Stops canceled include Am Neuer Markt, Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke, Domsheide, Schüsselkorb, and Herdentor. POWER WEEKEND from March 19 (6 p.m.) to March 22, 2021 (6 a.m.). Diversions during Power Weekend. Lines 4 and N4 will be split and operate on two separate routes. In the northern area, line 4 will run in both directions only between Lilienthal and Domsheide. Line N4 will run only between Lilienthal and the central train station, then via the Am Brill stop to Domsheide. From Domsheide, it returns to Lilienthal. In the southern section, lines four and N4 run in both directions only between Arsten and the Theater am Leibnizplatz stop, then on to the BSAG Center. Line 6 operates in both directions only between the university and the central train station. Replacement buses operate in both directions during the day, serving line 6E between Domsheide and the airport, and at night, serving line 4E between the central train station and the BSAG Center. Central Railway Station. Transfer to connecting tram and bus lines. Access regional and long-distance trains and buses, as well as the Regio S-Bahn. This change supports tram and bus services and maintains the original dance trance. Dear passengers, from Monday, March 15th, through Sunday, April 25th, there may be construction work at the track triangle at Osterstraße and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße. Line 6 will operate only between the university and the central station until Sunday, April 11th. A replacement bus service will run between the airport and Pappelstraße with a transfer to line 1. Throughout the entire period, line A8 will be diverted between Westerstraße and Domsheide via April and Obernstraße. Lines 24 and N3 will be diverted between Westerstraße and the central station via April and Am Ball. Please check BSE for updates on your connections well before your trip at ag.de or by consulting the timetable, and pay attention to announcements, posters, and electronic displays.By ÖPNV-SPOTTER-HAMBURG - .
The future of BSAG: This is what is planned for Bremen's local transport (2020)

The future of BSAG: This is what is planned for Bremen's local transport (2020)Bremen has lagged behind when it comes to public transportation. Consider what was planned! A regional light rail system based on the Karlsruhe model, but that was abandoned. In Bremen, it took almost ten years to connect directly between Gröpelingen, the Waterfront, and the main station, even though the lines were already in place. Baden-Württemberg would have had the connection before the shopping center opened.By buten un binnen - .

Driver's cab ride on Bremen tram 3530 (2013)

Driver's cab ride on Bremen tram 3530 (2013)So the trick with the steps works at this stop too!" Always with a good and friendly saying, Heiko R. drives the old lady from 1976 through the narrow streets of Bremen and, like today on Werder's game day, has his hands full, just like his colleagues in the GT8N. We continue to look over his shoulder as he works and can once again enjoy the small talk of the friends of the Bremen tram. Have fun! The way, so at this stop too, the dirt with the three steps works perfectly. Yes, we practice that trick; not bad at all. Shh, it has to be very good. One more breath. Are you still there, or have you gotten out? We can, shh, ST too. No, it's all good here; quite relaxed. I can see everything, and here too. How was that with the third step? Come on, we'll push a bit. I'm also now on the street; the ancestors are a map from the past, but they come into the stadium and now quickly out. No, he has to somehow get up, already, not quite the steps—still, honestly, GI, or only on match days. No, that was only one match day earlier when there were more of these vehicles running. People could do that, but it's somehow been completely forgotten, and it doesn't leave until they're free. But the old one could leave. Yes, stadium, we're getting closer to the matter. We're getting closer to the matter. Now we still need points. I wish you all a great game, and please bring the points with you. THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. You're welcome. Ciao. Celebrate later, then goodbye. I'm still alive, after all, just like some of these people have an ad for my last journey or have expressed their opinions. So, that was 400Ö. Yes, but no, first hello. Now I have time to answer. Feeling like this is my birthday for a little while. We're leaving this morning. Next year, we won't have a JR. Next year, we will—oh right, then I'm going, yes. I just left earlier because I was a bit late; that's why I had to go past the station. Then I took the 302. If we remove the advertising, it would regain its historical character. It still has the old paintwork. We can fix it up for stadium traffic—the whole thing. Where was it photographed? Mobile phone, look. Yes, a driver’s license doesn't automatically mean the phone too, but my father once said that, back then, they all drove cars when they did the PU. So, how many bus and tram drivers were excited about it? I heard that again and again, but that's normal too. I've been driving for 37 years. Yes, I open the door. My smartphone is now my cell phone. Before that, I had various BNEs on it. Pressed the window and took it. Yes, just over. I'm not even sure if I still have the cell phone. I've already got it. Yes, not when you're on the road, something or other, and then you stand there looking stupid at the oncoming traffic, the HZ, but they don't have any eyes; they don't even come and tell stories like that and other things. Passengers walking across the street, people raising their hands on one side.By MultiDunki - .
