Trams in Bordeaux, France (2016)The Bordeaux tramway network consists of three lines (A, B, C) with a total length of 58.9 km (June 2015). Line D is in the planning stage, and the Médoc Tram-train line is under construction. A BHNS line E, currently in the planning stage, could complete the network.
The first line of Bordeaux's modern tramway opened on 21 December 2003; further extensions have increased the route length to 43.9 kilometres (27.3 mi). The system is notable for using a ground-level power supply of the Alimentation par Sol (APS) system in the city centre. Keolis Bordeaux has operated it since 1 May 2009.By Timosha21 - .
