Most viewed - HEAG 22101 in line service (2023)The new tram model went into service on October 9, 2023. 22101 was on line 6 in the afternoon. According to a report from Drehscheibe Online, passengers were asked to "change to the new tram". On October 10, I was in Darmstadt again to introduce you to the new model. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as I had imagined. There were more passengers in the Arheiligen district than I expected. However, there was not enough time or desire to drive to Alsbach in neighboring Seeheim-Jugenheim for filming.

Darmstadt Tram - The Route to Arheilgen XXL (2012)The route to Arheilgen of the Darmstadt tram of HEAG mobiTram was extended to Dreieichweg in 2010 and 2011. Previously, the route ended in the Hofgasse turnaround loop. This has since been removed, and the nearby new stop has been renamed Löwenplatz. The new route with three new stops runs almost exclusively in the street plenum of the very narrow Frankfurter Landstraße. At the end, there is a two-track turnaround loop to the west of the street.
The video shows the new route as well as the existing route to the Kranichstein junction. It is used by lines 6, 7, and 8. A special feature of Darmstadt is the express line 6, which operates on weekdays from approximately 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. without stopping at all stations. However, this does not apply to the section of the route shown in the film, where it stops everywhere. At times when line 6 is not running, line 8 runs the route instead.
All vehicle types that were in regular use in Darmstadt at the time of the photo shoot can be seen: ST 12, ST 13, ST 14, and the SB 9 trailer cars.By Horst Honig (Horst Honigs Bahnvideos) - .
