MetroCentro (Tram) Seville / Sevilla - Onboard (2022)
9:33
MetroCentro (Tram) Seville / Sevilla - Onboard (2022)Join us for a ride on the tram from Plaza Nueva to San Bernardo! MetroCentro is a tram system serving the centre Seville in Spain. It began operating in October 2007 and is operated by TUSSAM which also operates the city's buses. Whilst the line currently (2022) has just five stops, it has connections with Renfe Cercanias and Metro line 1 (check out our other video of that!). An extension is underway with the aim to bring the line to Adif's Santa Justa station via Nervion. Although the system originally had a catenary along the whole line, it was converted so that trams with supercapacitors charge at each stop in the historically-sensitive parts of the centre.By Metropolitan Studios London - .
Sevilla Tram in the historic citycenter (2022)
5:27
Sevilla Tram in the historic citycenter (2022)Seville has a small tram company that serves the city centre, called MetroCentro. At the moment there is only one route (T1) with a length of 2 kilometres and 5 stops (including both end points). A total fleet of 5 CAF Urbis 300 trams is sufficient to provide a 10-minute frequency. Usage is high because there are no buses in the old city centre around the cathedral. In the same area there is no overhead line, so the trams have to run on batteries. These batteries can be charged during stops via the pantograph in 20 seconds. The cathedral is served by a section of single track.By Public Transport Worldwide - .

The Seville Tram (2018)
2:31
The Seville Tram (2018)Seville's tramway, quiet, efficient, and well-integrated, has allowed for pedestrianization and, above all, the opportunity to experience the streets more peacefully. As the video shows, there's an incredible silence (you can hear the birds chirping in the video), and it's possible to ride a bike, cross the tracks, and even drive (there are a few hotels in the area). http://www.sosfirenze.it/By mrhomer1 - .
