Discover the Urban Transport Museum of Saint-Etienne and its Region (2020)As the only French city to have always maintained a tram line in its city center, Saint-Étienne simply had to have a museum of urban transport. Indeed, the tram holds a very special place in the hearts of the people of Saint-Étienne. The museum pays tribute to the employees of CFVE and STAS, who dedicated a large part of their lives to building, day after day, the urban transport system we use today. Inaugurated on June 18, 1993, this museum, run by a volunteer association whose members are mostly former CFVE and STAS employees, retraces more than 135 years of expertise serving several generations of residents.
