"The Blue Tram started in the Bulb Region with a steam line connecting Haarlem and Leiden in 1881. NZH expanded by acquiring lines from Volendam to Scheveningen. The 'First Dutch Electric Tram Company' was founded in April 1898. The Haarlem-Zandvoort line opened on July 1, 1899, linking Amsterdam to Zandvoort, Haarlem, and Bloemendaal, crucial to Zandvoort. Trams were yellow before 1924 and dark blue afterward. The Blue Tram's last run was on September 1, 1957."

"Welcome to the website of the Historical Society Foundation "De Blauwe Tram"
Since 1961, our foundation has been dedicated to building a collection of the loose cultural heritage of the former North-South Holland Tram Company (NZHTM), better known to many as "The Blue Tram". The foundation now manages a collection of hundreds of objects and thousands of images, which we carefully preserve and use for exhibitions, events and other manifestations."
"This website was created by railway enthusiasts to compile a searchable database of railway equipment used by museums, providing an overview of preserved railway gear. It's a non-commercial project maintained by several administrators, each responsible for their section. You can click "About NMMD" for details."
"The A600 is revived! The De Nieuwe Blauwe Tram Foundation is reconstructing the twin tram set A619/A620, the last tram set built by the Noord-Zuid-Hollandsche Tramwegmaatschappij (NZH) from 1932. The A600 has defined the image of the NZH for many years and is an icon of the Dutch railway industry."
"The NZH Transport Museum is unique. Unique is the perfect word here. What we offer visitors is unmatched anywhere else. Especially our trams, some of which are over 100 years old, yet presented as new. Certified craftsmen and enthusiastic volunteers have created something beautiful that brings back the good old days. When you step inside, you can practically feel the past. Truly extraordinary."
"The blue tram is back in Katwijk. Admittedly, only for the Autumn Festival in Katwijk aan de Rijn, but most Katwijk residents are thrilled. The Orange Association had 500 meters of track specially laid in the Rijnstraat for this occasion. On Monday morning, the route had to be tested again because the tram derailed during the first test run on Sunday."
