Eingestellte Bahnen der Schweiz

"Although Switzerland has one of the densest rail networks in Europe, over seventy independent railway lines or sections thereof have actually been closed. The largest proportion of these closures, of course, involved interurban trams, which have practically disappeared in their original form."

Tram und Historisches Museum
Language: German.

"From 25 August 1906, a tram ran between Flüelen station and Altdorf town hall square. This gave Altdorf a direct connection to the express train stops at Flüelen station. The Altdorf tram enjoyed great popularity until the end of World War II in 1945, after which passenger numbers declined. The last tram ran from Altdorf to Flüelen on 20 May 1951, after which the service was replaced by buses."
