Here, you can switch between the metro on the outer tracks and the Nockebybanan tramway in the middle. The Nockebybanan turns here, and the tram now proceeds forward for boarding. The metro here was originally a suburban tramway from 1944 to 1952, but it was converted into a metro in 1952. The tram type A32 is a Flexity Swift model from Bombardier. In a previous video, we filmed the tram from the other platform; the link is at the end of the video. The tram now departs towards Nockeby—it's a metro train on the green line heading south toward the inner city. Then, a metro train from the turning track in Alvik is waiting to arrive at the platform. There are two turning tracks here for the metro.
Brommadepån, for parking trams and buses (now museum buses). The metro tracks next to us continue toward Hässelby Strand. The next stop on the Nockebybanan is Alléparken. Note that the tram here operates on a left-hand traffic system. This allows for platform changes in Alvik with the metro, which also has left-hand traffic. However, even though the tram runs on its own embankment toward Nockeby, here you switch to right-hand traffic. That's why the tram now crosses over a crossing. We'll take a closer look at it. On the other side of the railway crossing, the tram departs the stop toward Alvik. At the crossing, the traffic direction shifts from right-hand to left-hand traffic. The next stop is the final stop in Alvik. Link above to a previous video about the Nockeby Line in Alvik. In the following video, we explore the second final stop of the Nockeby Line in Nockeby. Station Alvik, Stockholm, tram on Nockebybanan (2025)Station Alvik, Stockholm, tram on Nockebybanan. This is the junction where the metro's green line meets the trams Tvärbanan and Nockebybanan. The metro runs on outer tracks, while Nockebybanan switches onto the tracks in the middle. Here, a Nockeby tram arrives to turn around. Passengers on the tram can easily transfer to the metro platform for the city center. Then, the tram driver shifts direction to move onto the opposite track. At the same time, metro passengers heading toward the inner city can conveniently switch to the tram bound for Nockeby. Although it's actually the tram's scheduled departure, the tram driver waits a few seconds as a metro train is arriving. This allows a few more passengers to transfer from the platform onto the tram. Once boarding and alighting are complete, both the tram and metro typically depart the station simultaneously. The tram then crosses the viaduct over the metro track to continue on the Nockebybanan.

Stockholm - Public Transport - Tour of the Nockebybanan (2016)My wife and I took a ride through beautiful wooden garden suburbs.
The Nockebybanan is an archaic form of transport that has been upgraded significantly to a sleek and modern light rail system. It follows the old right of way, though so winds its way through a garden city-style suburb.By Svartmetall Sverige! - .

Nockebybanan + Tvärbanan Stockholm (2005)The Nockebybanan in Stockholm evolved from tram line 12 and now terminates as a feeder to the Tunnelbana (metro) at Alvik station, where the Tvärbanan light rail line 22 also terminates.
Tvärbanan (the Cross-Train) is a tram line in Stockholm,
operated by Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL). The track is largely separated from the streets, and only in Gröndal does it run in the street. This is why the Tvärbana has right-hand traffic, while other rail vehicles in Sweden drive on the left. The trams are Bombardier Flexity Swift and are classified as the A32 series. Each tram can accommodate 221 passengers and can be coupled with other trams of the same type.
Construction of the line began in 1996. Since 2000, the Tvärbana has operated between Gullmarsplan and Liljeholmen, later extended to Alvik and, in 2002, to Sickla udde. Today, the Tvärbana offers many connections to other railways.By VideoFolke - - .
