Škoda 15T trams, Prague (2012)In 2005, a contract was concluded between DPP and Škoda Transportation for 250 trams. In 2008, the first prototype of the 15T tram was manufactured.
In 2009, test runs were conducted in Pilsen with the prototype (in Pilsen, registration number 115) and in the same year, a technical and safety test was also carried out in Pilsen. In June 2009, it was brought to Prague, where it received registration number 9200 and in December 2009 it was taken back to the manufacturer. The prototype car has structural differences from the production cars. In this prototype, each section had different seats: in the front section, upholstered seats 6 MS from the manufacturer Ster, in the middle section, plastic seats MB from the manufacturer Ster, and in the rear section, wooden CITY - W from the manufacturer AXL.
In 2009 - 2014, 95 three-section 100% low-floor trams 15T, with the numbers 9201 - 9301, were delivered to Prague. The remaining 149 three-section 100% low-floor trams 15T (a total of 250 trams) are to be delivered to Prague by 2018. The trams are manufactured by Škoda Transportation.
The car body is a welded steel frame. The side lining is made of glued laminate panels. The car fronts are laminate (designed by Ing. Arch. Patrik Kotas).
The floor height is 350 mm above the top of the rail (the door space is at a height of 320 mm above the top of the rail) and in the area of the inter-car crossings it is 450 mm above the top of the rail (the difference between the heights is ensured by inclined ramps).
The interior has wooden seats in a 1+2 arrangement, which are anchored in the side walls. Behind the driver's cabin and at the rear there are seats in a 2+2 arrangement, in the rear section there are 5 seats, at the transition bellows there are seats in a 1+1 arrangement (all seats are located above the bogies) and in the middle section there are 3 folding seats. The 15T trams have wooden CITY-W seats from the manufacturer AXL.
The interior trim is made of plastic and the ceiling is made of wood. They have windows with a tilting upper part. The interior lighting is fluorescent, powered by a 24 V network. The vehicle is heated by under-seat units, which are located in the bases of the passenger seats. The floor is covered with ALTRO anti-slip flooring.
The vehicles are equipped with six IGE double-wing sliding doors (cars with registration numbers 9201 - 9206 and 9208 - 9236), six Ultimate double-wing sliding doors (cars with registration numbers 9207, 9237 - 9301), one Pars Komponenty single-wing sliding door, which is used only for the driver (the outermost section above the outermost bogie), IGE door drives, door opening on demand, a mechanical tilting platform (the first tilting double-wing door in the low-floor section), a camera system, EM TEST internal LCD panels (cars with registration numbers 9201 - 9206 and 9208 - 9252), Bustec internal LCD panels (cars with registration numbers 9207, 9253 - 9301), an external and internal information system EM TEST (cars with registration numbers 9201 - 9206 and 9208 - 9252), external and internal information system Bustec (cars with registration numbers 9207, 9253 - 9301), small digital panels BUSE, which display the order on the line (LED diodes red - black), holes for external sand replenishment, side covering of bogies with plenums and an auxiliary coupler of the Prague type from the manufacturer Alfa Union (stored in the vehicle).
The auxiliary coupler is stored in the vehicle. After removing the front or rear laminate cover, the emergency coupler is attached and serves for emergency pushing.
The 15T tram has four two-axle rotating bogies. Two end bogies (front and rear link) and two intermediate (Jakobs) bogies under the covering bellows. Each wheel is independently driven by a synchronous motor (four motors on one bogie, 16 × 45 kW) powered by ŠKODA traction converters with IGBT elements. The electrical equipment is located on the roof.
A Stemmann Fb 800 semi-pantograph is used to collect electrical energy.
The driver's position is separated from the passenger interior by a glazed partition with sliding doors. The tram is controlled by a manual controller. A reversing panel is located on the rear platform.
Car no. 9243 is experimentally equipped with air conditioning in the passenger lounge and the ceiling is covered with sheet metal.
The cars are deposited in the Pankrác and Vokovice depots.By filipbartak - .
