Heaton Park Tramway (2012)Blackpool Brush Railcoach No. 623 made its planned launch at Heaton Park in Manchester on 22nd January. Brian Lindop of Blackpool Transport conducted the launch ceremony and had the pleasure of driving a packed tram to Lakeside and back. Stockport tram No. 5 and Manchester tram No. 765 were also in service. Sadly, No. 623 failed on its third trip due to a problem with a controller. At the time, it was thought the issue would soon be repaired.
At the ceremony, it was announced that the Heaton Park Tramway will celebrate 75 years since the Brush Railcoaches entered service in Blackpool later this year.By Joseph Grice - .
