Hannover Stadtbahn (2012)The Hanover city railway has a network of over 100 km and currently operates 12 lines. The longest is line 1 from Langenhagen to Sarstedt. The Hanover Overland Works and Tramway Company (ÜSTRA) operates the city railway. The fundamental frequency is 10 minutes (except for line 17 and the outer branches of lines 1 and 2). The vehicle fleet includes the TW6000 from DÜWAG and LHB and the TW2000 from LHB. The TW3000 will follow shortly, which will not have folding steps for the first time. The TW6000 has been gradually phased out since EXPO 2000. TW6000s that have been handed over are used in Budapest, for example.
