Nostalgic trams on Tram Line No. 2 in Budapest (2011)From June 2 to August 28, 2011, every Saturday afternoon and evening, two nostalgic half-timbered trams operated between Boráros tér and Jászai Mari tér on Tram Line No. 2, which is considered the most beautiful tram line in Budapest. The two trams shown in the video are over 100 years old: the brown S-type tram, number 611, was built in 1909 and served with the old BKVT* company. The other one is the yellow L-type tram, number 436, built in 1911 and operated by the former BVVV** company. Both trams were renovated in 1987 and have been part of the nostalgic fleet of BKV Ltd. since then. As a result, BKV Ltd. organized this program.
