Most viewed - Cabview Holland Electric Museum Tramline Amsterdam (2019)Today, we are riding along the Electric Museum Tram Line in Amsterdam, on the only remaining section of track from the Haarlemmermeer Railway. It’s a unique journey that had to be recorded by Cabview Holland! We are filming from the PCC 1024, built in 1952 and used by the Haagse Tramweg Maatschappij until 1981. In addition to the historical aspect, the dedicated staff also made it an exceptional and fun experience. More info on the EMA site: http://www.museumtramlijn.org. They also offer a city tour of Amsterdam on an old tram. Should I try to get permission to film that as well? Do the poll! Enjoy! Key Highlights of This Video: 1. Real-Life Train Driving Experience: You’ll feel like you’re in the driver’s seat, experiencing everything from the exhilarating acceleration to the smooth arrival at our destination. 2. Stunning Visuals: Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we speed through the diverse landscapes of the Dutch countryside. 3. Cultural Landmarks: Look out for notable landmarks and quaint towns as we pass by. 4. Unmatched Views: Experience stunning scenery that you won't find when flying high in the air or sitting in a car stuck in traffic. With train travel, you get the best possible view at ground level, allowing you to soak in the lush landscapes, charming historical towns, and vibrant urban cityscapes of the Netherlands! Electric Tram Line Museum Amsterdam (2015)This museum provides an excellent way to experience what city transportation was like in Amsterdam nearly 100 years ago. It's situated in the Haarlemmermeer Station, and both inside and out, it largely retains its original appearance from when it was first built. Since 1975, the museum has been restoring old trams to their original condition, and its fleet now includes over 20. The highlight is that every Sunday from April to October, the trams operate again on a historic line between Amsterdam and Amstelveen, stopping at the landmark stations along the 7-kilometer route. In our video here, Gessell takes a nostalgic trip back in time and enjoys this fun, retro round-trip tram ride... All aboard!
Amsterdam calling, so pick up! You know we love uncovering hidden secrets in Amsterdam, and behind these doors awaits another adventure. In fact, it's a portal to another time. Let's check it out. Welcome to the Electric Tram Museum. It is located in the old Haarlemmermeer station, situated between Vondelpark and the Olympic Stadium. There are about 20 antique trams here, with more being restored. The best part is that every Sunday, they take the trams out and run an old route between Amsterdam and Aalsmeer for just a few euros. You can experience what it was like to travel around the city nearly a hundred years ago.
Here we go! The route begins at Haarlemmermeer station and extends approximately 7 km south to Bovenkerk station in Amstelveen, primarily following the eastern border of the Amsterdam Zuidoost (Amsterdam ZO) area, with several stops at historic stations along the way. I'm like, DVE? Wait a second, who's driving this thing? From the tram, you really get a good look at people's backyards. I Think We're Alone Now — there doesn't seem to be anyone around. All right, now we're at the end station—the final stop—and there's really nothing here, so we're heading back. If you don't recognize the stops behind me, not to worry—that's because this tram comes from Austria, and it's our ride back into town. If you have a few hours to spare on a Sunday, come check out the old trams and enjoy a truly unique retro experience that's exclusive to Amsterdam. Amsterdam Electric Museum Tramline (2013)On Sunday 21 April 2013 I visited the Electric Museum Tram Line Amsterdam (EMA).
This tram line runs from the Haarlemmermeer station in Amsterdam to Bovenkerk in Amstelveen. The tram line has a very rural character.
To get an impression of the line I first rode along from the Haarlemmermeer station to the end point Bovenkerk and walked back from there to the Kalfjeslaan, where an attempt was made to record as many rides as possible at various locations. At the Kalfjeslaan stop I got back on the museum tram to go back to the Haarlemmermeer station.
The recordings are grouped per tram as much as possible.
The following trams were filmed:
- GVB 465 + 731
- RET 507
- HTM 816
- GVB 401
- GVB 454
- Weense 4143
