Description
The Liberec tram network is one of seven tram networks in the Czech Republic. It is operated by the municipal transport company Dopravní podnik měst Liberce a Jablonce nad Nisou. Originally a meter-gauge network, the network has been gradually converted to standard gauge since 1990. The construction of several new lines is planned (Rochlice–Vesec and Ruprechtice–Pavlovice). Currently (November 2006), four lines and one historic line are in operation. The total route length is 21.5 kilometers.
Line 11 exits the viaduct loop as a Tatra T4 leaves the station at Old Town Square. Tram 42 is heading to Jablonec—a break in the middle of the track. Tram 65 is on line 3 to the zoo. A converted Tatra arrived at the viaduct.
