Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 5 with railcar 448 (1993) Due to World War II, the construction of the popular bogie type had to be stopped and in 1942 the first scrap cars came onto the streets on lines 2 and 5. The cars were called "spare cars" or "swingpjatter" because of their somewhat rocking ride. Line 5 earned the charming nickname "lortevognen" because of the yellow-brown line color.

Photos of Copenhagen tram line 8: Degnemose Allé - Bodenhoffs Plads Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 8 with railcar 511 (1993) Line 8 was best known for its "old" trams, but in the last six months of the line's life it was favoured with architect Lunding's famous bogie motor cars, converted to a permanent conductor and without a sidecar. Folkeviddet had its own special relationship with line 8, and the daily newspaper "Politiken" often reported on the back page "At tønke sig" about conductor Fodklang and conductor Strop. Perhaps this is also why in the summer you can experience line 8 on rubber wheels in "Tivoli".

Photos from Copenhagen Tramway (KS) Prescription envelope: Copenhagen night line B with railcar 705 at Brønshøj (1995) Brønshøj Square in the old days. Night line B originally ran along Frederikssundsvej to the city when it was established as a bus line in 1936. As early as 1 November 1936, it was replaced by trams due to the large number of passengers. In connection with the establishment of line E, the route was rerouted along Godthåbsvej. The night lines were discontinued from 11 April 1940 to 15 March 1952. On 3 November 1958, the night trams were replaced by diesel buses.

Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 11 with railcar 311 (1993) Architect Knud Valdemar Engelhardt designed this type of motor car, which was built in 1910 by "Scandia" in Randers. Although only 10 examples were built, the type of car nevertheless served as a model for many of Copenhagen Tramway's later car purchases. The cars were, as shown here, rebuilt during World War II with extended platforms and undercarriage.
