Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 5 with railcar 448 (1993) Due to World War II, the construction of the popular bogie type had to be stopped and in 1942 the first scrap cars came onto the streets on lines 2 and 5. The cars were called "spare cars" or "swingpjatter" because of their somewhat rocking ride. Line 5 earned the charming nickname "lortevognen" because of the yellow-brown line color.

Line 5 in the winter of 1938-39. This type of railcar was supposed to be retired around 1940, but due to World War II the cars were rebuilt with larger platforms and extended undercarriage. The old trams were completely withdrawn from service in the summer of 1966.

Photos from Copenhagen Tramway (KS) Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 11 with railcar 450 (1993) Line 11 was a child of World War II. It was established on April 22, 1944 with a route from Brønshøj Torv to Kongens Enghave. Right from the start, the newly built "scrap cars" were used on the line, but later it lost its importance and was only operated with old equipment. The line was closed on July 21, 1958. Because of the green and blue line colors, it was nicknamed "Undulaten".

Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 2 with articulated tram 806 (1993) The trams' colored line signs were both a practical and very festive feature in the cityscape, which was further enhanced in the evening by the colored roof lanterns in all possible color combinations. The last modern articulated trams were built only a short time before the final closure of tram operations and the trams were sold to Alexandria in Egypt.

One carriage has been preserved and can be seen at the Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum. Line 2 was called "The Dane" because of the red/white line colors. The line was converted to bus operation on October 18, 1969.

Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 7 with railcar 596 (1993) Copenhagen's most popular tram type was the bogie tram, designed by Ib Lunding. The first trams entered service as early as 1930. Lunding's elegant combination of platform and central entrance trams aroused great admiration among experts. Later, the trams were converted to permanent conductors and the original elegance was lost. Line 7 was converted to bus operation on 25 April 1971.
