Even before the first snowfall, depot staff had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the snowplow railcars: VBZ Xe 4/4 1926 (converted in 1981 from Be 4/4 1356) and 1924 (formerly 1354) at Wiedikon station in mid-November 1989.

The motor car (SWS/BBC 1901) came to the city in 1931 from the Limmattal tramway LSB as No. 10 and was in service until 1967 as the thermite-welded car Xe 2/2 in 1973 and 1948, respectively. Every Sunday afternoon, the two-axle trams on line 6 were replaced with larger trams for excursions to the zoo. This tram became the salt car Xe 2/2 1024 in 1972. 3210By Ernst B.
