Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 11 with railcar 311 (1993)Architect Knud Valdemar Engelhardt designed this type of motor car, which was built in 1910 by "Scandia" in Randers. Although only 10 examples were built, the type of car nevertheless served as a model for many of Copenhagen Tramway's later car purchases. The cars were, as shown here, rebuilt during World War II with extended platforms and undercarriage. Prescription envelope: Copenhagen tram line 11 at Brønshøj (1995)One of the newly introduced "scrap trains" on line 11 was established on 22 April 1944 with a route between Brønshøj and Kg. Enghave. On 29 November 1945 the line was extended to Husum, and on 16 October 1953 it was rerouted to Godthåbsvej. Line 11 was closed on 21 July 1958.
