We are: a group of people from all age groups and professions interested in local rail transport.
We work: in cooperation with the VBK/AVG management, restoring historic road vehicles to operational condition.
We meet: every Wednesday evening at the clubhouse in the East Depot, Tullastraße 71, to exchange information and organize club activities. Non-members are also welcome.
We organize: a slide presentation on local rail transport topics every first Monday of the month, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the "Panorama Hall" of the VBK, Tullastraße 71.
We operate: historic and modern rolling stock on special trips and special services on the VBK, AVG, and DB lines.
We produce: the specialist magazine "der Weichenbegel," which provides comprehensive information about public transport activities in the Karlsruhe region.
We offer: various publications, such as books, magazines, and souvenirs related to Karlsruhe's local rail transport.
We visit: various transport companies and railways in Germany and abroad on excursions.
We have: already fully restored the two-car museum train Tw 95 + Bw 299 (steel conversion car) to working order, converted Tw 101 into the mirror trailer car 298 to its 1930 condition, and supported the VBK (Karlsruhe Transport Authority) in the restoration of the mirror railcar Tw 100.
We are restoring: Tw 92 (residence car) from 1922.
We are looking for: members and active volunteers who promote the realization of the association's goals.
