The country tramway on Rømø
Romö Westerhawsbad (1899 - 1940).
Model of a horse-drawn carriage from the 750 mm wide country tramway that ran across Rømø from Kongsmark to Lakolk from 1899 to 1940.
The fleet of carriages was varied. Reportedly, there were used, Danish-built (Scandia) horse-drawn trams from Flensburg among them - (The carriage here is not ex-Flensburg, however!).
P.S. - A motorized rail bicycle was curiously used on the route by a local baker when bringing breakfast bread to the seaside hotel in Lakolk!
