Lund Light Rail: Lund Central - European Spallation Source (2018-2021)Lund's tramway was inaugurated on December 12, 2020. Regular traffic started on 13/12/2020. Construction of the track began on February 15, 2017. A contract was signed with Skanska in May 2016. The municipality of Lund owns the track, and Region Skåne owns the carriages and depot. The entire track has double tracks on its own space, but with a level crossing, and is 5.5 kilometers long. Most of the track is constructed as a grass track. Right-hand traffic is applied. The track lacks a signaling system, but public transport signals are available at street intersections. Rolling stock is powered by 750 volts DC from a catenary 5.5 meters above RÖK. There is no overhead line. Traffic is operated with low-floor carriages, which were delivered by CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) in Zaragoza, Spain. A one-hour journey can be paid for by swiping a payment card against the terminal in the carriages.By Spår - 2018 - 2021.

The new line 1 begins at the railway station, passes the university hospital and runs towards the north-east to the MAX IV and ESS research facilities. Tram in Lund (2020)Lomma Bjärreds Rotary Club After many years of planning and construction, the tramway in Lund will be inaugurated in December this year.
