Drive a tram yourself
Take the controls of a real tram and drive one or more laps around our network. Not only children, but adults too dream of driving a tram. Besides the option of practicing on our tram simulator, you can make your dream come true with us and take the controls of a real tram and drive one or more laps around our network.
After a short introduction to the vehicle's operation, you can start driving under the supervision of an HSM driving instructor and experience the museum from the driver's perspective (drive duration approx. 20 minutes). After successfully completing the drive, each participant receives a certificate. The price for one tram drive is €39.00.
The vehicles used are primarily Hanover's TW 6000 series light rail vehicles and the DUEWAG articulated tram TW 5103 from 1955, which, before coming to our museum, served for many years as a driver training vehicle for the Rheinbahn in Düsseldorf.
