From the Blue Tram in Voorschoten, I stand here on Boezemstraat in Rotterdam, where the SNT tram is just arriving. As I mentioned, the cold, dark days are approaching; it’s time for more soup. What better way to enjoy it than on a tram ride through Rotterdam? It’s like being a kid again—it’s coming! We just left with the SNT, and our journey through Rotterdam has begun. If you find yourself with free time on a Sunday afternoon and think, "I want to see Rotterdam," taking the SNT is a perfect idea. Soon, the famous pea soup, the one everyone’s waiting for, will arrive. Oh, it’s delicious! Thank you! Ooh, that looks tasty! Yes, on a Sunday afternoon, the SNT tram came about because one of our employees, Parel, was waiting for a late tram years ago. She suggested, "Hey, SNT?" That’s how the name was born. We then came up with the idea of riding through the city, visiting places people don't usually go, with an accordionist and a guide on board for an enjoyable 1.5 to 2-hour tour, sharing fun stories for people to tell later. Cost is also important: the ride costs €15, a price that has remained unchanged for years. We’ve been doing this for 11 years, and it’s been €1 for that entire time. You can also combine it with dinner at the restaurant Brasso, where we stop briefly; then the total cost is €1, including the dinner. If you choose the special menu, you get a beautiful art plate worth about €50 to take home. We’re nearly at the end of today’s STR route, and I must admit, before I started, I wondered what to expect—would I enjoy it? I recommend it to everyone, young or old.
